Sample Preparation
Consistent, contamination-free pressed powder pellets start with the right preparation kit, and that's what you'll find here: sample cells, film, and binding agents matched precisely to your instrument and sample type. These products take the guesswork out of pellet preparation, so every sample reaches the analyzer ready to deliver reliable results.
More info on Sample Preparation
AnalytiChem's sample preparation range supplies the cells, film, and support consumables that laboratories need to prepare pressed powder pellets and fused beads for XRF and XRD analysis. The portfolio includes single open-ended and double open-ended sample cells aligned to the specifications of common XRF and XRD instruments, so labs can match cell format directly to their analyzer and application. The range is used mainly by XRF and XRD laboratories, but is not limited exclusively to these techniques.
To complete a sample cell assembly, AnalytiChem supplies thin film in mylar, prolene, and polypropylene, across a range of thicknesses, so labs can choose the transmission and chemical resistance combination their samples require. Film is available as continuous rolls, pre-cut sheets, or as EasySNAP sheets, in which a perforated circle of film is pre-attached to a carrier frame, simplifying handling and reducing the risk of contamination during cup assembly.
Pressed-powder pellet preparation also depends on binding and blending agents and AluCAP aluminum pellet cups, which provide the support and stability samples need during preparation and measurement. These consumables help labs produce pellets that hold their form through handling and analysis, reducing the risk of sample loss or inconsistent readings.
For sample preparation by fusion, AnalytiChem supplies fluxes and graphite fusion crucibles, each available in two purity levels. Every lot of fusion flux is supplied with a certificate detailing the lot analysis of up to thirty potential impurities, along with apparent density and other properties, giving labs a documented basis for consistent fusion results. Labs pairing XRF or XRD with elemental analysis by ICP may also find AnalytiChem's ICP consumables range relevant to their wider sample workflow.
